Terms of Use
Last updated: 3 August 2026. These terms cover who we are, what Nomad Pro does and does not do, how Premium subscriptions work, and what we are and are not responsible for.
Who we are
Nomad Pro (shown on this website as NomadPro) is provided by Komal Amin, a sole trader, trading as Nomad Pro.
You can write to us at 5 Nightingale Court, Sheepcote Road, Harrow HA1 2JB, United Kingdom, or email hello@nomadpro.ai. Email is the quickest way to reach us.
These terms are an agreement between you and us. Apple distributes the app but is not a party to them and is not responsible for the app. If the app does not do what these terms say it will, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund the price you paid for it; beyond that refund Apple has no other obligation to you in connection with the app. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as a third party.
What Nomad Pro is
Nomad Pro is a personal record-keeping tool for UK digital nomads. It organises the travel, work-day, and check-in records you enter, applies HMRC's Statutory Residence Test to them, and tracks the Schengen and country day limits you choose to follow.
By downloading, using, or subscribing to Nomad Pro you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the app and delete it.
Nomad Pro gives you software and a summary of your own records. It is not tax, legal, immigration, or accounting advice, it does not decide your residence status, and we are not your adviser.
What the residence calculation covers
Nomad Pro applies the Statutory Residence Test in Schedule 45 of the Finance Act 2013 to the records you enter: the automatic UK 183-day test, the automatic overseas tests, the full-time overseas work test, and the sufficient ties test. Where the answer depends on something only you can confirm, the app asks you, and if the answer is missing it reports the year as needing review rather than guessing.
There are parts of UK residence law the calculation does not cover:
- It does not apply split-year treatment, so a year you arrived in or left the UK part-way through is shown as a whole year.
- It does not reduce your day count for exceptional circumstances.
- It does not apply the transit exception for days you arrive and leave without doing anything else. Arrival and departure days are both counted, which is the more cautious way round.
- It does not cover domicile, deemed domicile, or double taxation treaty tie-breakers.
- It does not calculate income tax, National Insurance, or any amount you owe.
- The Automatic UK tests, the family tie, and the accommodation tie rely on answers you give the app rather than on anything it can work out for itself.
- Schengen and other country day counts are records of the days you have entered. They are not an immigration, visa, or right-to-work decision.
The result reflects what you have recorded. A missing trip, an unrecorded work day, or an answer given in error will change it. Please check your records before you rely on anything the app shows you, and treat every figure as a summary of your own record rather than as a determination of your tax position. Only HMRC and the courts can decide that.
Your responsibilities
Please keep your records accurate and up to date, keep the device the app is installed on secure, and review anything the app suggests before you accept it.
Your subscription is for your own personal use. Please do not try to get round subscription checks or fair-use limits, do not upload documents you have no right to share, and do not use the app for anything unlawful.
Subscriptions
Nomad Pro offers optional auto-renewable Premium subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Core tracking features remain available without a subscription.
If you subscribe, your plan renews automatically until you cancel it. The price, billing period, free-trial availability, renewal timing, and store-specific terms are shown in the paywall before you buy. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your device store subscription settings or through the in-app subscription management link.
Payment and delivery are handled by the app store, so refund requests are made to Apple or Google under their terms. Nothing here affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
If we change the price of a plan, the new price applies to renewals after we have told you about it, and you can cancel before it takes effect. We may add, change, or withdraw features. If we withdraw a Premium feature and that materially reduces what you paid for, you can cancel your subscription and ask the app store for a refund under its terms.
Premium AI features
Premium AI features send information from your device to our server and on to an AI provider so a response can be generated. What is sent depends on the feature and is set out in full in the Privacy Policy. Statement and document imports send the files you choose, which may include complete bank statements.
AI output is generated text. It can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. It can misread a document, miss a stay, or state a detail that is not in your records. Nomad Pro shows AI suggestions for you to review, and nothing is added to your records until you accept it. Please check each suggestion against your own evidence before you do.
These features depend on services we do not control, and we apply fair-use limits to keep an expensive feature available. They may be slow, temporarily unavailable, or changed.
Local data, exports, and backups
Your records live on your device. We hold no copy of them and cannot restore them for you. If you delete the app, reset your device, or lose it without a backup, the records are gone. Please export regularly and keep the exports somewhere safe.
Exports and share cards are yours to check before you send them to anyone, including an accountant or HMRC. You decide what leaves your device and where it goes.
No professional advice
Nomad Pro does not replace a qualified accountant, tax adviser, immigration adviser, or solicitor, and using it does not create a professional relationship between us. Please obtain professional advice for any decision that affects your legal or tax position.
What we are responsible for
First, the things we can never limit, and do not try to. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. You keep the rights the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you as a consumer, including the right to digital content that is of satisfactory quality, fit for its purpose, and as described, and nothing below takes those rights away.
Subject to that, Nomad Pro is supplied as it is and as available. We do not promise that the app, its calculations, projections, exports, share cards, or AI-generated output will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or right for your circumstances, and we do not promise that they reflect the whole of your tax position or current HMRC practice.
We are not responsible for tax, interest, penalties, professional or accountancy fees, or other losses that arise because your records were incomplete or wrong, because you relied on the app instead of taking professional advice, or because you made a decision on the basis of something the app showed you.
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable. If you use Nomad Pro for the purposes of a business, we are not responsible for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of a business opportunity.
Where we are responsible to you, our total liability for everything connected with Nomad Pro — whether the claim is made in contract, in tort (including negligence), for misrepresentation, for breach of statutory duty, or in any other way — is limited to whichever is the greater of the subscription fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event that caused the loss, and £50. So the limit is never lower for a paying subscriber than for someone using the free app. This limit does not apply to the first paragraph of this section.
Nomad Pro depends on things we do not control: the app stores, your device, your network, and the AI provider. If one of them fails or is unavailable we will do what we reasonably can to put it right, but we are not responsible for the failure itself. This does not affect our obligations under data protection law, which are described in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
You can bring a claim about Nomad Pro in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring it in your local courts. If you live outside the United Kingdom you keep the protection of any consumer law of the country you live in that cannot be set aside by agreement, and you may bring proceedings there. We will only bring proceedings against you in the courts of the country you live in.
If something has gone wrong, please email hello@nomadpro.ai first. Most problems are quicker to solve that way, and we would far rather fix them.
Website and waitlist
The website may collect waitlist signup details for launch communications. Those website submissions are governed by the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms as the app changes. The date at the top shows when they were last updated, and where a change materially affects you we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you do not accept a change, you can cancel your subscription and stop using the app.
